Exciting News from the Academic Front!
Our distinguished lecturer, Andrea Mazelliu, recently had the honor of being a guest speaker at Georgetown University. Invited into Professor Elton Skendaj’s class on Postcommunist Balkan Politics, Dr. Mazelliu presented an insightful lecture on the pressing issue of the migration crisis in the Western Balkans.
The session delved deep into the current challenges and dynamics of migration in the region, focusing on the recent developments surrounding the Italian-Albanian Protocol on Migration. This protocol has significant implications for both nations and the broader context of European migration policies.
Dr. Mazelliu’s expertise provided the students with a comprehensive overview of the situation, stimulating an engaging and thought-provoking discussion on the complexities of migration today. It was a fantastic opportunity to bridge academic knowledge with real-world issues, fostering a deeper understanding of the political and social intricacies in the Balkans post-communism.
We’re proud to have our faculty members contributing to important conversations on the international stage and sharing their knowledge with future leaders and scholars at prestigious institutions like Georgetown University.
