UNYT joins #OrangeTheLogo
University of New York Tirana will always support this campaign by being an example that takes a Lead in Combatting Gender-Based Violence. UNYT has established itself as a private academic institution whose overall contribution to society stands out in many aspects, not only limited to the field of education. Its philosophy of creating and fostering responsible, well-educated, and active citizens as well as the leaders of tomorrow, is grounded in the principles of integrity, meritocracy, and ethical behaviors. UNYT has build partnerships with various entities, including youth NGOs which promote rule of law, human rights, sustainable development, and youth empowerment. Doing so, it has supported projects and initiatives that reach a large number of Albanian youths, not only its students, thus opening its doors to discussions and actions that spur from the concepts of ethics and integrity, while amplifying the impact that they can have in society.
From the 25th of November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) till the 10th of December (Human Rights Day) a campaign from the United Nations Women will take place in all the world. The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign. We have been invited by UN Women to collaborate in this campaign and raise awareness on this pandemic by Creating an orange version of the UNYT logo, Put it as our profile picture (official page) from 25 November (Wednesday) until 10 December 2020, Share it on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter feed starting 25 November with a dedicated message using #orangetheworld. Violence against women and girls is endemic to all societies, and it takes many forms, both physical and psychological.
