International Arbitration – Open Lecture by Dr. Niek Peters

The Albanian International Chamber of Commerce organized an open lecture on “International Arbitration” at the University of New York in Tirana on Wednesday, 27 February 2019.

About the guest speaker:

Dr. Niek Peters is a Dutch national who works at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Albania.

Dr. Peters acts as counsel, arbitrator and binding advisor. He has extensive experience in the enforcement of foreign court decisions and he acts in proceedings before the state courts in matters related to arbitration, such as the annulment of arbitral awards.

Dr. Peters also publishes in specialized journals in the field of arbitration, conflict of laws and liability law. Since 2008, he has been teaching the course “International commercial disputes settlement law” at the University of Groningen. Moreover, he often speaks at national and international conferences.
