{"id":95031,"date":"2022-01-15T15:41:57","date_gmt":"2022-01-15T14:41:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unyt.edu.al\/?p=95031"},"modified":"2022-01-19T13:35:55","modified_gmt":"2022-01-19T12:35:55","slug":"peace-stability-and-development-in-the-balkans-turkiye-albania-relations-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unytold.unyt.edu.al\/index.php\/2022\/01\/15\/peace-stability-and-development-in-the-balkans-turkiye-albania-relations-panel\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Peace, Stability, and Development in the Balkans &#8211; T\u00fcrkiye-Albania Relations&#8221; Panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The panel on &#8220;Peace, Stability, and Development in the Balkans &#8211; T\u00fcrkiye-Albania Relations&#8221; was organized today by the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency of T\u00fcrkiye with the participation of representatives of Turkish institutions in Albania and researchers at the premises of the University of New York Tirana.<\/p>\n<p>In this event, we were honored with the participation of the Ambassador of T\u00fcrkiye in Albania, H.E Murat Ahmet Yor\u00fck, the Chairman of the Public Diplomacy Department of the Communications Directorate of the Presidency of T\u00fcrkiye, O\u011fuz G\u00fcner, scholars, and journalists from Albania and T\u00fcrkiye, as well as representatives of civil society organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The panel discussed prospective areas of cooperation between the two countries, as well as developments in the Balkans, T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;s Balkan policy, economic cooperation, and both countries&#8217; contributions to Balkan stability on a more advanced level.<\/p>\n<p>The Turkish ambassador emphasized that these relations have been established over the centuries and added that &#8220;we have developed these relations in such a natural way&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The former ambassador of Albania to T\u00fcrkiye, Genti Gazheli, who is currently the General Director of the Albanian Customs, speaking about Turkish companies in Albania, said that the cooperation between the two countries is based on a rich legal framework. Gazheli mentioned that in the strategic partnership statement signed a year ago between President Erdo\u011fan and Prime Minister Rama, one of the agreed points is the intensification of cooperation between our respective customs administrations.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Assoc. Dr. Lindita Xhanari Latifi, director of the Institute of Balkan Studies at the University of New York Tirana, said that the institute she leads has clear objectives for the realization of closer scientific collaborations with the archives of both countries, with scientific institutions and Turkish universities.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Yal\u00e7\u0131n, an academic at Istanbul Ticaret University, stressed that he considers T\u00fcrkiye-Albania relations special and according to him T\u00fcrkiye is a very good friend of Albania.<\/p>\n<p>Assoc.
