They sing, recite poems, cook, play music, and entertain in any way they can.
On a brightly E-Stage Saturday night in the UNYT E-Platform, UNYT’s creative student performers came together for the premiere of the Final UNYT’s Talent Show, a campus-wide competition that showcased the university’s artistic flair.

“This is a time for Solidarity and being together. The power of being united is so powerful that can brighten everyone’s feelings. My dear students, professors, friends, we are all held together by strong bonds, we are part of one tree, the family tree of MAARIF-UNYT. This is more than a Show; it is a way to channel creative, positive energies and interacting with each other during an uncertain time”, according to UNYT Rector, Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoğlu.

The final of the UNYT e-Talent Show, held at UNYT e-Platform was a howling success. With the honorable presence of the Ambassador of Turkey in Albania, H.E Mr. Murat Ahmet Yörük, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, Mr.Oltion Rrumbullaku, the Deputy Head of Mission of the Turkish Embassy in Tirana, Mr. Hakan Cengiz, Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Albania, Mr. Atakan Doğan, TMF Bosnian director Mr. Salih Sağır, Yunus Emre Institute Sarajevo Director, Mr. Mehmet Akif Yaman, Albania’s TMV director, Mr. Fatih Cankurt, Head of Corporate Affairs at ALBtelecom Albania, Mrs.Jorilda Filipi, Program Coordinator at Empire State College, Mrs. Najada Fani, Director of NYHS and NYBE, Mr. Mehmet Isiker, Director of IMS High School Elbasan Emrah Katranci, the Art Professor Mahmut Enes Kemer, Prof. Lindita Latifi and our dear UNYT Professors.

Musicians, singers, rap artists, and actors, with their families, came together, in this dark time of a Pandemic virus to share with the world the show of a lifetime

“All this is making me so happy; I just want to smile all the time”, – said a student during the performances.

The night was full of different surprises. Albtelecom donated a year of home internet to ease the process of online learning to the first 3 places during the UNYT E-Talent Show. With the mission to support the education, Albtelecom has always been a partner of the UNYT students and different activities by offering not only to them but to everyone the best of their service experience.
For our students, the UNYT library, and the books have always been a refuge. But, since the pandemic began, they couldn’t come to the library. BOTIMET LIVING, to be close to our dear students, made a wonderful gift by providing them wonderful books, from writers such as Voltaire, John Steinbeck, Thornton Wilder, Laura Marshall, Daniel Silva, etc.

Since all the lessons went online, and UNYT was the first University to implement them by finding immediately a solution, the hours staying in front of the screen of the computer were longer. For this reason, See Well Eye Clinic, located in Blloku, Tirana, gifted an eye check for our dear students.

But this was not all. University of New York Tirana, in the framework of the social responsibility of the Turkish Maarif Foundation, of which it is a part, has always been in help and has shown care to those who need it. Global, part of Irisgroup believed in this cause the students of UNYT and gave them the responsibility to share with the people in need boxes of food provided by Global. As the UNYT Mantra is “You have two hands: one for helping yourself, the other for helping others”

Sealed with love and respect, different videos were shown, were especially one of them, and brought to everyone the tears of not being able to be at the University. This magical night, reminded us all, that happiness lies in the small things that surround us everyday…The “Good Morning “of Xhavit and Luli, the image on the TV of the front desk, the question “Do you have a chip for the elevator?”, the quick steps when entering the classes, the stressful moments before an exam, where you calm each other in the stairs, the coffee at the 4th floor, the magical sun at our terrace. And all art that was performed contained the repercussions and scars of all we have been through, by healing them and by hoping to be all together again, at our University.

Maarif-UNYT, together, keep the light of education always open. Education is the one that uplifts the world, by giving the wings of knowledge to fly.

UNYT E-Campus competition included singing, acting, musical performances, and videos.
