“Dictionary of Turkisms in the Albanian language” | A book by Prof. Assoc. Lindita Xhanari Latifi, Director of the UNYT Balkan Research Institute

The latest publication of Prof. Assoc. Lindita Xhanari Latifi, Director of the UNYT Balkan Research Institute, “Dictionary of Turkisms in the Albanian language,” was presented on July 6, 2022, at the COD salon of the Prime Minister’s Office. This dictionary was published by the Turkish Language Institute (TDK) in Ankara after receiving its scientific approval. At the ceremony of the presentation of this publication, were present the Deputy Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Özgül Özkan Yavuz; Turkish Ambassador in Tirana, Tayyar Kağan Atay; the Chairman of Atatürk Culture, Language and History Institution, Prof. Dr. Muhammet Hekimoğlu; the President of TDK, Prof. Dr. Gürer Gülsevin; as well as the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Tirana, Keti Luarasi; Head of the Department of Albanology Prof. Dr. Shezai Rrokaj, the Administrator of UNYT, Dr. Riza Feridun Elgün, as well as a large number of researchers and students. Researcher Lindita Xhanari Latifi is the first Albanian to receive scientific approval for the publication of scientific work from the Turkish Language Institution – Türk Dil Kurumu.
