Study Visit at The Albanian Center of Autism
On behalf of “Contemporary ethical practice in Psychology” course taught by Dr. Canollari-Baze, psychology Bachelor’s and Master’s students visited the Albanian Center of Autism. They met with CEO and Clinical Supervisor Denata Toce. This study visit aimed to discuss ethical considerations in working with children with special needs and to acquire a short-lived experience while observing therapy in action with a few children at this center. ABA therapist and supervisor Toce introduced the students to the Ethical Code for Behavior Analysts while presenting her professional journey into becoming a psychologist and the ethical dilemmas she has faced while building her reputation in our society. Denata emphasized the need for continuous training and the role of integrity and passion in exercising psychology as a profession.
