“The ethics behind visual and verbal communication: the event giving voice to our youth at the International level”
University of New York Tirana came up with two youth events on December 7th, celebrating youth activation aiming to make the world a better place one day before the National Youth Day.
Even though socially distant, but still closely connected, the positive energy of the youth gathered UNYT with our partners of the events, United Nations Association of Albania, and Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, celebrating international events on ethics in media communication and integrity through the lenses of Sustainable Developmental Goals.
As a partner of the Week of integrity, initiated from ICC Albania referring to the Dutch model, both events were delivered online on zoom and were live-streamed on time reaching an audience of 5617 unique guests.
The morning event focused on “The ethics behind visual and verbal communication” initiated from UNYT Career Office Dr.Besmira Lahi, represented the youth endeavor in the elaboration and promotion of ethics as basic human values, the footages of which have always been found in our culture, in our homes, in our schools and beyond. The analysis conducted from our youth: Darlin Katundi, Emila Hoxha, Xhulia Tafa, Klajdi Kaziu, Ester Sanxhaku, and Enxhi Hoxha coming from different majors of study, encouraged to bring in their knowledge and skills, they will need to use once they are part of the labor market as policymakers, giving the voice to a resolution which will be shared at the end of this event.
The opening ceremony was honored from the presence of Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoglu, Rector of UNYT, followed by Drs. Gerry Stegeman-Saxion University, International Chamber of Commerce in Albania-Secretary General Mrs.Seknaj and United Nations Association of Albania-President, Mr. Kristi Cina.
The activity was moderated by our special guest speaker, Mrs. Arlinda Çausholli, a publicist and communication strategist in Albania, enriched with the participation of international professors, youth delegates, and the presence of Mrs. Juli Kristani journalist from Top Channel, all contributing to the event stemming inspiration from their personal models.
