Exploring History and Architecture: Open House Tirana

UNYT 3rd-year students from the Department of Architecture and Design were part of a captivating journey through time in the Open House Tirana Event, accompanied by their professor Brunilda Basha.

The “Open House Tirana” event unfolded a unique opportunity for students to delve into the rich historical legacy of three iconic villas: Vila Begaja, Vila Sali Shijaku, and Vila of Ish Gazeta Bashkimi.

Organized by Open House Tirana and Architecture Fund in Albania, local architects and historians guided the students and participants into a firsthand experience of the historical evolution, architectural significance, and restoration processes that have shaped these villas. Throughout the day, our students absorbed a wealth of information, gaining insights into the cultural heritage embedded within the walls of these esteemed structures.
